The proposed rule changes pertain to the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and will: (1) remove language associated with paper food instrument/cash-value voucher issuance and redemption, (2) expand the number of supplemental foods approved for issuance to WIC participants; (3) align the peer group structure with Federal requirements; and (4) update the fair hearing procedures.

A public hearing will be held on October 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Cardinal Room, Building 3, located at 5605 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
